This colourful 32 cm tall sculpture was completely customised by Henkie using paint and ink. The original second-hand object was given a completely new character, inspired by classic old-school sailor tattoos.
On all sides, the sculpture is richly decorated with recognisable tattoo motifs, ranging from swallows and anchors to daggers, skulls and symbolic details – each applied with a steady hand and a keen sense of composition.
A unique piece, somewhere between street art, tattoo culture and outsider art.
